The Victorian Room

This room is situated on the other side of the hidden room and is full of Victorian furniture. This bedroom probably has the most calming atmosphere in the house. Visitors have often heard a lady humming thought to have been a Victorian Housekeeper. Others have smelt different aromas from flowers to pipe tobacco. There have also been reports of people seeing a gentlemen standing in the doorway guarding the landing. The Victorian four poster bed is extremely high and will be made up with 21st century bedding. There will be modern day electric heating warming the room. If you would like to stay a night in this mysterious room the cost of one nights stay including 3 course dinner served in the Great Hall and a full English breakfast served in the Buttery is £125 per person, based on two people sharing. This price includes the shared use of the toilet and washing facilities of Fuchsia cottage.
