On Friday 16 March, six Vodafone employees, plus a former employee and one of their customers will be making their way to Ilfracombe, North Devon, to spend the night with the ghosts and ghouls that are reputed to haunt Chambercombe Manor, an eleventh Century Manor House in support of Red Nose Day 2007 – The Big One.
The team of eight will travel from Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Somerset to investigate if ghosts really do exist and to present any evidence to the staff at Chambercombe Manor who have generously allowed exclusive access to the property for this worthy cause..
From 9pm on Friday 16th March 2007,the lights will go out to enable vigils to take effect throughout the property in search of ghosts throughout the night until dawn. All the money raised from the event will go to Comic Relief.
For every pound raised, a pound will go towards projects helping poor and disadvantaged people across Africa and the UK to change their lives. Furthermore Vodafone will double the overall amount the team of eight raise.
