Chippendale Room

This room is beautifully furnished with furniture dating back to the 17th century. Visitors to the Manor have reported hearing children laughing in this room, having their hair played with and seeing the handles of the chest of drawers going up and down with no logical explanation. Others have seen a young girl’s face looking out of the window. Sleep in the original four poster Chippendale bed in which one of the children is sadly rumoured to have died. The bed will be made with 21st century bedding and modern day electric heating will be warming the room.

If you would like to stay a night in this lovely room the cost of one nights’ including 3 course dinner served in the Great Hall and a full English breakfast served in the Buttery is £125 per person, based on two people sharing. This price includes the shared use of the toilet and washing facilities of Fuchsia cottage.
